Former SYCF trustee becomes our latest philanthropy match challenge partner!

After 10 years as a trustee of South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, Frank Carter OBE couldn’t leave without a final gift to the Foundation and to South Yorkshire.

Frank is the latest individual to take part in our Philanthropy Catalyst Match Challenge which is available thanks to the Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation. The catalyst provides a £1 for £1 match on charitable donations.

Frank Carter OBE said: “My life time passions have been buses, business and building support for local charities. After ten years as trustee of SYCF I wanted to continue my support of their vital work, to help our communities thrive.

I established the Frank and Pat Carter Family Fund, with the generous match from The Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation, to ensure our support for local charities and communities can continue well into the future. I have been able to focus our Family Fund to areas of personal interest, with a preference for Barnsley and support for children and young people to have a better start in life.

Our Family Fund has also enabled me to do something in memory of my wonderful wife, to ensure that our joint commitment to Barnsley and community continues.”
