21st April 2010

FACEBOOK and Twitter users can now keep up to date with goings on at the South Yorkshire Community Foundation through the social networking sites.

Up to date news, inspiring stories and funding opportunities will be posted to keep people in the loop with the great work being done by SYCF in the area.

Pauline Grice, chief executive of SYCF, said: "We work with fantastic groups and projects in South Yorkshire, so any new and inventive way that we can tell their stories can only be a good thing.

"As the Third Sector in South Yorkshire changes, we aim to be at the forefront in developing innovative ways of providing our charitable services.

"This includes the way that we communicate with people, and having a presence on Facebook and Twitter will give us another great way of interacting with inspiring people, groups and projects in our area."
