Where Everyone Matters Grant Campaign (in partnership with Sheffield City Council)
UNSUNG heroes working to help local communities are set for a cash boost thanks to a new partnership between Sheffield City Council and the South Yorkshire Community Foundation.
The 'Where Everyone Matters' grant campaign will provide much needed assistance to the area's volunteer led projects, with grants of up to £5,000 available for those making a difference in their area.
The funding has been made available through SYCF's Grassroots Grants programme that offers grants to community groups throughout Sheffield, and a bumper pot has been made available for the 'Where Everyone Matters' grant campaign.
The purpose of the Where Everyone Matters grant campaign is to support groups whose activities are:
- Building strong communities – including activities such as community events or festivals, building capacity in community organisations, or providing information to communities in innovative ways.
- Giving voice to seldom heard groups – this might include support for networks for different communities of interest across the city; awareness raising activity; activity to give people the skills to participate in civic life (including through Community Assemblies)
- Working to reduce inequalities between communities or different groups of people, including giving people and communities of interest the skills they need to take advantage of opportunities
- Promoting volunteering – activity designed to increase the number of people from all backgrounds who give up their time to undertake voluntary work
Potential applicants can apply for amounts of between £250 and £700 using a fast track form, or up to £5000 using more detailed full application form. Follow the links for more information.
