Young People into Education and Employment Programme

South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation is administering the Young People into Education and Employment Programme.

The fund is particularly keen to support projects where the beneficiaries are unemployed 16-25 year old young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or communities.

How much can I apply for?

  • grant awards are for between £1,000 to £5,000

Who can apply?

  • priority will be given to small, locally based groups or organisations in South Yorkshire that have a clear understanding of the needs of young people.

What are the priorities of the fund?

To fund local groups or organisations running projects which:

  • increase work ready skills of young people
  • offer work placement opportunities
  • support young people into education or employment
  • offer apprenticeships for young people
  • positive engagement activities aimed at pre-work and work ready skills reducing barriers to employment for young people with diverse needs
  • provide individual and peer support to young people to identify and negotiate pathways into enterprising activities and employment

Applications must be submitted, to reach this office by midnight Wednesday 14th February 2018. Part B will be attached to your registration email, along with a link to your online grant application form. Decisions will be made by the end of March 2018.
