Arts and culture at the latest SY100 event

Our latest SY100 networking event was in partnership with the wonderful, Artistic Spectrum. The not for profit organisation works with people of all ages who are on the autistic spectrum, through art therapy.

Thanks to them, we were able to show a breathtaking display of artwork on the night from their ‘Famous Faces’ series. SYCF recently funded Artistic Spectrum to expand their art centre in Doncaster, which has enabled them to take on more clients and to widen the range of their activities.

SYCF hosts regular networking events for SY100 members to thank them for helping us to improve our communities, but also to showcase the impact of SYCF and to provide updates on our latest achievements.

On the night a bespoke ‘local famous face’ piece from the collection was auctioned off and won by SY100 member, Brewster Pratap. The piece was of Doncaster man, Brian Blessed.

Sonia Bielaszewska, SY100 Manager said:
“We were so pleased that Brewster Pratap won the auction for the portrait of Brian Blessed and I am sure it will hang in pride of place at one of their local offices.

“A total of £1,245 was raised on the evening and the proceeds were split in half between both Artisic Spectrum and SYCF.

“We had a great time and thank you to everyone who came along on the evening, especially to those who are now becoming or thinking about becoming members!”
