This Trustee Week we really want to showcase our exceptional trustees. SYCF is lucky enough to have dedicated members of the board who give us their time, energy and expertise to further our work.

First up, we want to showcase Dr Julie MacDonald DL, our Vice Chair from Sheffield. Julie has been a trustee of SYCF since 2013 and has been instrumental is many of our biggest achievements, such as our Philanthropy Catalyst Match Challenge which raised over £1 million and our 30th Anniversary celebrations.

Julie lends her support to many other worthy causes too, like The Children’s Hospital Charity, Roundabout and Girlguiding Sheffield.

Julie’s service to South Yorkshire extends even further then sitting on charitable boards. She has also served as Mistress Cutler 2012-13 and as High Sheriff of South Yorkshire 2016-17.

Trustee’s are essential to the running of charities and help to make the UK the sixth most giving place in the world!
