Grants and Projects Officer

Adam provides insight and assistance relating to a variety of different projects including Salesforce and Microsoft 365 implementation, alongside climate related grants programmes. He also supports the grants team to deliver front-line support to help groups apply for funding. His working days are Monday to Friday.

Business Support Officer

As Business Support Officer, Roz assists with a variety of operational and programme aspects of the Foundation from governance and Trustee support to to collating and monitoring performance data and research. She previously worked within our grants team. Her working days are Tuesday and Wednesday.

Andy Kershaw

SYFAB Training Coordinator

Andy manages SYFAB’s training programme for community and voluntary groups and he also delivers some funding courses. This allows groups to learn funding skills and expertise to enable them to improve the lives of people in their communities. His working hours are Tuesday to Thursday.

Lorna Lewis

Lorna Lewis

SYFAB Barnsley Funding Development Worker

Lorna provides support to community groups in the Barnsley area, working with local partners to host funding surgeries which provide information and resources to help community organisations to grow. She is on hand to answer queries from community groups in the area. Her working days are Tuesday to Thursday.

A member of our investment committee, Tim has been involved in financial markets for more than three decades acting as a trusted adviser to wealthy individuals, business owners and families based in the UK and overseas. He is Portfolio Director at Cazenove Capital – a leading wealth manager and part of FTSE 100 asset manager, Schroders PLC.

Our treasurer Vickie is a qualified accountant and Chartered Director with over 20 years experience in various global manufacturing organisations and an experienced NED. She's a Member of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire, Chair of the South Yorkshire Committee of the Institute of Directors and Independent Chair of the HLM & LD Employee Ownership Trust.

Carole O'Neill RGN JP

Carole O'Neill RGN JP

Trustee

Carole trained as a nurse in Doncaster and worked as a Ward Sister in the Accident & Emergency department for many years. She began work as a Magistrate in 1991 and served in the Judiciary for 28 years before retiring. In 2020, Carole was appointed as the first ever female High Sheriff in South Yorkshire from Doncaster.

Nick is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Certified Financial Planner as well as an accredited Later Life Adviser. He has provided financial planning advice to a diverse range of clients including private individuals, Trusts and pension schemes. Currently, he is a Financial Planner at Belmayne Independent Chartered Financial Planners.
