Martin Singer is our Chief Executive, overseeing the Foundation’s daily operations, strategic development, and growth. With 25 years of experience in leadership roles across retail, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Martin is also dedicated to giving back to the community through his volunteer work as a Director and Trustee at local organisations, such as the Sheffield Museums Trust.

Michelle Dickinson

Head of Philanthropy and Programmes

Michelle supports our Strategic Plan through philanthropy. This includes the development of long-term strategic relationships to secure and distribute income against agreed targets. She is also responsible for of our Fund Development Strategy and SYCF's Grant Strategy. Her working days are Monday to Friday.

Alison Wade

Finance Manager

Alison is responsible for the day-to-day management of all our financial activity, including financial reporting and compliance. She is one of the main points of contacts for our Investment Managers. She prepares our financial statements and leads the preparation of the annual audit. Her working days are Monday to Thursday.

Jess O'Neill

Grants and Partnerships Manager

Jess is responsible for leading the team which delivers SYCF's Grants Programmes, focusing on improved ways of working and streamlining. Jess is the lead officer for managing our volunteer recruitment and training for panels - providing on-going support and an annual panel members event. Her working days are Tuesday to Friday.

Natalie Harrison

Comms and Marketing Manager

Natalie is responsible for overseeing the communication and marking strategy for South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation. This includes the development and delivery of media relations activity to raise the profile of SYCF. She also looks after the Foundation’s social media accounts and website. Her working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm.

Rachael Farrell

Philanthropy Coordinator

Rachael coordinates the delivery of philanthropic activities, working collaboratively within different teams, community groups and donors to bring about exciting new opportunities. She is also chair of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) internal group and oversees South Yorkshire’s Giving Network. Her working days are Monday to Friday.

Emma Mallinson

Grants and Partnerships Officer

Emma supports the delivery of our Grants programme, providing front-line contact and help to assist voluntary and community groups to apply for funding. Her role involves the administration of funds and grants programmes and support with grants panels. Her working hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

Adam Preston

Grants and Projects Officer

Adam provides insight and assistance relating to a variety of different projects including Salesforce and Microsoft 365 implementation, alongside climate related grants programmes. He also supports the grants team to deliver front-line support to help groups apply for funding. His working days are Monday to Friday.
