Regional business award nomination for SYCF

South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) is celebrating after being recognised with a regional business award nomination.

SYCF has been shortlisted in the not-for-profit or social enterprise category at the unLTD Business Awards 2025.

It comes after the Community Foundation recently won Best Regional Grant Giving organisation at the Elite Business Awards 2025.

SYCF is also shortlisted in the Charity of the Year category at the 2025 Doncaster Chamber Business Awards taking place in December.

South Yorkshire's Community Foundation is the region's largest grant giving charity awarding an estimated £1.7 million to hundreds of voluntary and community organisations across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield every year.

The Foundation, which was created in 1986, is gearing up to celebrate its 40th anniversary next year.

Martin Singer, chief executive of South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, said:

It is an honour to have been recognised by the unLTD team, particularly as this year the event received a record number of entries.

To have received this latest awards recognition is a testament to the fantastic SYCF team, from our donors to staff and trustees, who work tirelessly to ensure we provide funding and support to grassroots groups doing incredible work to improve our local communities.

Congratulations to all the other incredible nominees who have made the shortlist.

The winners of the unLTD Business Awards 2025 will be announced at a ceremony at Peddlers Warehouse on 11 December.
