RWE’s Tween Bridge Wind Farm supporting local communities

South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation is pleased to announce the award of just over £8,600 towards the Fishlake Festival Funding Trust’s Jubilee Celebration events, which will take place between Thursday 2 June and Sunday 5 June 2022.

The exceptional grant comes from RWE’s Tween Bridge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund, managed by South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation. After everything Fishlake has gone through in the past few years, the fund panel were really pleased to support this event. They felt it was a great opportunity not only to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years of service but also villagers’ success and resilience in coming through such challenging times.

The fund panel decided they would like to extend this support for Jubilee Celebrations that bring communities together across the fund’s area of benefit. Other community organisations within the fund’s area of benefit (a 3-mile radius around the wind farm, including Thorne and Moorends, and parts of Hatfield, Hatfield Woodhouse, Sandtoft, Fosterhouses, Stainforth, Ealand, Fishlake, Crowle and Sandtoft) are invited to apply for grants of up to £3,000 towards community events celebrating the Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

But they must act quickly: applications must be received by 30 April in order to be considered for a grant.
