Staff

Philanthropy Assistant – 37.5 hours per week, fixed term maternity cover contract – 9 months

Salary Grade 5 (£24,785 - £28,500pa)

South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation is looking for an experienced administrator to join our Philanthropy Team on a fixed term maternity cover contract for 9 months.  The postholder will provide robust administrative support to the Deputy CEO and Head of Partnerships & Programmes in managing and maintaining excellent relationships with South Yorkshire’s Giving Network (SYGN) members and other donors.

If you have experience of working in an office environment and are an experienced administrator and passionate about improving the lives of communities in South Yorkshire, then we would like to hear from you.

You will be working with a great staff and Trustee team, we offer flexible working and part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Meet Martin

Martin Singer DL is Chief Executive of South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, overseeing strategic growth and daily operations.
He joined SYCF in March 2025 and brings over 25 years’ leadership experience across the private and voluntary sectors. Martin is passionate about strengthening communities through philanthropy and partnership.
Alongside his executive career, Martin has maintained an active commitment to community development and governance, serving multiple charities from across South Yorkshire as a Trustee and Director.
