Community groups enjoy a magical Christmas at Gulliver’s

Young people from across South Yorkshire were treated to a festive day to remember at Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park Resort, thanks to a special charity ticket giveaway.

The Rotherham theme park partnered with South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) to gift 300 free tickets to local voluntary groups, community projects and grassroots organisations.

Guests enjoyed unlimited access to rides and attractions, along with a visit to Santa’s Grotto to round off the festive experience.

Working with SYCF, Gulliver’s Valley distributed the tickets through the Foundation’s wide-reaching network of funded community groups.

Asia Wala from Care for Young People’s Future, said:

A huge thank you to South Yorkshire's Community Foundation for gifting us free tickets to Gulliver's Valley Resort.

We had the most magical day. The kids absolutely loved exploring Santa’s House and meeting him in his Grotto. They even got to choose their own gifts from the Elf Workshop. From indoor attractions to theme park rides, there was non-stop excitement all day. The children had the best time of their lives. These moments meant so much.

Michelle Dickinson, head of philanthropy and programmes for SYCF, said:

It was wonderful to once again support community groups in Rotherham through this generous festive ticket offer from Gulliver’s Theme Park. We’ve partnered with them for several years now, and every time it’s incredible to see the smiles and joy on the faces of the young people who visit.
