Leading finance firm joins social value network

A leading independent corporate finance firm has become the latest organisation to pledge its support to South Yorkshire’s communities by joining our social value network.

Castle Square Corporate Finance has invested in South Yorkshire’s Giving Network (SYGN) which supports people across the region by providing grants to organisations tackling social issues and inequalities.

Castle Square, which has offices in Sheffield and Leeds, is a market-leading corporate finance firm working with clients nationally and internationally.

Kevan Shaw, managing partner at Castle Square, said:

After attending one of the Network’s social value events at Hatfield Prison, we saw firsthand the incredible work of the Foundation and the vital role we can help play in delivering social impact and making a positive difference in our local communities.

As a leading corporate finance firm, proud of our Yorkshire roots, we recognise the importance of contributing to creating a healthier, fairer and safer region. We believe the best way we can have the biggest impact is to support South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation.

SYCF, through South Yorkshire’s Giving Network, provides businesses with a simple way to give and connects organisations with grassroots groups and projects delivering vital social value initiatives in their local communities.

Michelle Dickinson, head of philanthropy and programmes at SYCF, said:

It’s a pleasure to partner with Kevan and the team at Castle Square Corporate Finance, who clearly understand our role in delivering social impact and how we’re best placed to ensure money is directed to where it is most needed in South Yorkshire.

It’s fantastic to have them on board as part of SYGN and we hope it inspires other businesses across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham  and Sheffield to work with us in delivering social value projects to drive meaningful change.
