New grants officer joins SYCF

I’m thrilled to be joining such a well-established organisation that has been making a difference across South Yorkshire for four decades. I’m proud to be part of a fantastic grants team committed to connecting community organisations with the funding they need.

My background in creative and community arts has shown me the incredible impact that local organisations can have when they are properly supported. I’m looking forward to working closely with groups across the region and helping them access funding which will enable them to grow.

SYCF is the region’s largest grant-giving charity and, over the last 40 years, has awarded more than £40 million to help communities across South Yorkshire thrive.

The Foundation’s grant funding supports a wide range of projects that improve physical and mental health and wellbeing, education, employability and enterprise and increase access to and engagement with the environment and public spaces.

We’re delighted to welcome Charlotte to the team at such an exciting time for the Foundation.

She brings fantastic experience in community-focused projects and will play an important role in guiding groups through the grants process, offering support and ensuring they can make the most of the funding opportunities available.

Combined with our new grants administration system, her appointment will help us provide an even better experience for applicants and ensure more groups can access the funding they need to make a difference in their communities.
