Opening Doors Sheffield
South Yorkshire's Community Foundation is proud to support the launch of the Sheffield Pride of Place Opening Doors campaign, to foster a culture of inclusive recruitment across the city.
Opening Doors, Business in the Community's (BITC's) flagship inclusive recruitment campaign, provides a simple framework of evidenced-based actions that enables every employer regardless of size or sector to take part. This directly supports the Pathways to Work programme, helping economically inactive people into employment.
Work and the local economy was one of the top four priorities in our recent Vital Signs research carried out with individuals and business across South Yorkshire.
Business are invited to attend the launch event on Thursday 26 June, 9am-11am, to find out more about the campaign and:
- Network – connect with 400 like-minded businesses before the event.
- Gain employer and beneficiary insight – hear how employers have successfully accessed unexplored talent and the moral, economic and business benefits. You will hear from beneficiaries about the life changing impact securing work has had.
- Hear from underrepresented groups – meet 23 organisations working with underrepresented groups to understand barriers to employment and learn how to attract, welcome, and nurture diverse talent.
As the first City of Sanctuary, Sheffield has a proud track record on inclusion. Let’s build on that together. Participation is free because Sheffield is always better when we come together. Register here.
