Pride of Place
South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) was a key partner at the launch of the Sheffield Pride of Place prospectus at the House of Lords.
Our CEO Martin Singer represented SYCF alongside Sheffield leadership Board colleagues from organisations including Henry Boot, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, Sheffield Hallam University and Business in the Community.
The prospectus sets out an ambitious ten-year transformational change for the city - a major milestone in shaping a bold, collaborative vision for Sheffield’s future.
Developed alongside local decision makers, businesses, educators and community leaders, the Prospectus aligns with the Sheffield City Goals and demonstrates a clear message: Sheffield is Open for Business.
It followed a successful Sheffield launch of the Pride of Place 2025–2035 Prospectus, Sheffield Pride of Place.
Martin said:
As a member of the Sheffield Pride of Place Board it was fantastic to see the hard work of so many people made public at the House of Lords.
It’s so inspiring to see the vision coming to life. What started as a plan and shared ambition, is now turning into real momentum driven by the public and voluntary sectors coming together with a common purpose to make the city a better place for all.
At the launch, leaders from across the city shared their commitment to long term, collaborative change.
Rooted in extensive consultation, the Prospectus reflects the lived experiences of local communities, the energy of its businesses, and the city’s long-standing culture of innovation.
