SYGN networker profile: Quickline
Quickline is a trailblazer when it comes to community support.
The company provides reliable and affordable broadband to over half a million homes in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. At its heart, is an unwavering commitment to the communities it serves.
Quickline’s collaboration with SYCF forms a key element of its extensive social values programme, which the company has committed to as part of the UK government’s Project Gigabit.

Quickline’s Moving On Up and Q Futures funds, held with SYCF, award grants of up to £15,000 to projects and organisations addressing unemployment in the Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield areas.
Elisabeth Kamaris, social values executive at Quickline, said:
Our partnership with South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation has been a huge success in terms of addressing unemployment and supporting those who need it most. By working together, we’re helping to build brighter futures for both young people and adults and creating meaningful, lasting change where it matters most.
Quickline is also part of our South Yorkshire's Giving Network (SYGN) which brings together like-minded individuals, businesses and philanthropists to create lasting impact where it’s needed most.
Members contribute to two dedicated funds – a Distribution Fund for immediate grant-making and an Endowment Fund for long-term support for grassroots projects across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
SYGN supports organisations to maximise social value by embedding giving and social impact into the core business purpose. Networkers gain access to frameworks and tools to track social value and demonstrate accountability. Through SYGN, organisation stay informed about local needs and build connections with community partners.
We’ve found real value in being part of South Yorkshire’s Giving Network - the events and connections we’ve made through the programme have helped us deepen our impact in the region.
Quickline’s commitment to social value also shines through in a wide range of other company initiatives designed to inspire and educate.
Virtual Work Experience Portal
Quickline recently launched a Virtual Work Experience Portal, designed to help young people explore career opportunities within the tech and telecoms industry. This free platform provides an accessible, interactive space where students can learn about different roles, gain practical advice and build confidence in planning their future. It’s already proving a valuable resource for schools and youth hubs in both rural and urban communities.
Virtual Work Experience Workshops across the region
Quickline has also been delivering virtual workshops and career sessions in collaboration with local partners such as:
- Sheffield Wednesday Youth Hub
- Doncaster Civic Youth Hub
- The Growth and Youth Hub
These sessions give students the chance to engage directly with Quickline professionals, ask questions and explore real-world career paths in tech and engineering.
In-person work experience
Taking place at Quickline’s Leeds HQ, these one-week placements rotate through departments like Marketing, IT, Engineering, Finance, and Social Value – giving young people a rich, hands-on introduction to working life.
Community volunteering
Quickline’s commitment goes beyond careers. Employees recently joined the ‘Keep Doncaster Tidy’ campaign alongside YMCA and the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, helping to improve local public spaces and set a strong example of civic responsibility.
Elisabeth added:
At Quickline, we’re passionate about more than just delivering fast, reliable broadband - we’re committed to connecting people with opportunities that make a real difference. Together with partners like SYCF, we’re building stronger communities and brighter futures.
