At South Yorkshire's Community Foundation (SYCF), we’re always looking for ways to support local charities to grow, become more sustainable and innovate.
That’s why we’re working with The University of Sheffield to champion Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
KTPs offer an exciting opportunity for charitable organisations to partner with universities to tackle key challenges, unlock new income streams or improve the services they offer.
Through a KTP, a charity or not-for-profit works alongside academic experts and a dedicated
KTP Associate who helps drive the project forward from within the organisation.
Innovate UK fund 75 per cent of the project costs which include guidance from a regional KTP Adviser from the application stage through to delivery.
Michelle Dickinson, head of Philanthropy and Programmes at SYCF, said:
KTPs offer a unique chance for local organisations to access academic expertise.
Whether it’s streamlining business processes, exploring new ideas, or testing new innovations, KTPs can provide fresh thinking and long-term positive change.
We’re proud to support this initiative and encourage charities across South Yorkshire to explore how a partnership like this could benefit their communities.
