Leading employers from across South Yorkshire will come together at AESSEAL’s award-winning Factory of the Future for our latest social value event.
Beyond Recruitment: Investing in People, Powering Your Business, is one of a series of events being delivered by South Yorkshire’s Giving Network (SYGN).
Taking place at AESSEAL’s global headquarters in Rotherham on Thursday, 23 October, the SYGN session will highlight how strategic apprenticeships and veteran employment initiatives can drive business success and create lasting social impact.
It will feature expert insights from major regional employers including Quickline Communications, as well as representatives from SYGN, Together for Sheffield and AESSEAL’s own leadership team.
Guests will also have the option to join an exclusive tour of AESSEAL’s state-of-the-art £20 million manufacturing facility, recognised as Sustainable Development of the Year at the 2024 South Yorkshire Property Awards.
SYGN was launched by South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) to bring together like-minded individuals, businesses and philanthropists to create lasting impact where it’s needed most in the region.
Michelle Dickinson, Head of Philanthropy and Programmes, South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF), said:
We’re incredibly excited to take our SYGN event series to the award-winning AESSEAL in Rotherham.
This event showcases how investing in people, through apprenticeships, veteran employment and community partnerships, can create real business value while transforming lives.
The line up of speakers includes:
- Darren Jones, Head of UK Learning and Development, AESSEAL
- Elisabeth Kamaris, Social Value Executive, Quickline Communications
- Martin McKervey, Non-Executive Director, AESSEAL plc
- Ben Woollard, CEO, Together for Sheffield and Founder of Ascend Initiative
- Michelle Dickinson, Head of Philanthropy and Programmes, South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF)
AESSEAL is a long-standing supporter of South Yorkshire communities. The business holds some of the largest charitable funds managed by SYCF. In partnership with the Community Foundation, the company established the AESSEAL Lieutenancy Fund in 2022 to back grassroots projects across the region.
