Investment Beyond Finance | Evelyn Partners & The Suit Works

At the South Yorkshire’s Giving Network, we often talk about the power of local giving. But what does that look like in practice?

Today, we’re highlighting the actions of Evelyn Partners, a firm that proves wealth management is about more than just financial portfolios—it’s about investing in the fabric of our community.

Evelyn Partners is deeply integrated into the South Yorkshire Community Foundation ecosystem, driving local impact through their roles as strategic SYCF investment partners, expert Professional Advisors and active Networkers within SYGN.

Their commitment to "Social Value" isn't just a corporate buzzword. Throughout 2025, the Evelyn Partners Leeds team has been running a donation drive to support The Suit Works, a Sheffield charity that helps unemployed people of all ages overcome the "clothing barrier" to employment. By providing free, high-quality interview attire and personalised styling sessions, they help clients transform their self-esteem and professional image.

By collecting high-quality business wear, Evelyn Partners are removing the "clothing barrier" that often stands between a candidate and a career-changing job.

“Our support of The Suit Works greatly aligns with Evelyn Partners’ wider charitable initiative to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by securing them the help they need to succeed not only in their education, but also their careers and their lives as a whole.”

— Matthew Wells, Partner at Evelyn Partners

Why this Matters

When a UK leader in wealth management uses their platform to advocate for social mobility, it sends a powerful message. It shows that professional success and community support are two sides of the same coin.

We are proud to have Evelyn Partners as part of our SYGN Network, helping us create a South Yorkshire where everyone has the tools—and the suit—to succeed.
