Funding helped to hire a part-time specialist therapist who provided 1:1 psychotherapy for young women aged 16 – 26 in Sheffield

Beginning in September 2018, the Ummeed women’s reading group has become an invaluable asset to its members. With SYCF funding, they have been able to purchase appropriate reading books and cover the cost of a tutor and room hire costs.

This women’s netball club is based in the village of Harthill in Rotherham and is open to ladies who like to play in the local area. Funding has helped them to buy essential equipment such as netballs, post protectors, roller driers for the courts and bibs.

The Deakin and Withers fund was able to provide support to "Anne", who was struggling under the limited support provided by pension credits, especially after having just moved to smaller accommodation, which had required a number of necessary expenditures.
