Cheers all round for the first SY100 event of the year

This year’s first SY100 event took place at Sheffield’s Triple Point Brewery. The evening featured roundtable discussions of local needs, talks from SYCF funded groups The Golddigger Trust and Sheffield Samaritans and a tour of the brewery itself.

SY100 is a supporters scheme for businesses who, like us, are dedicated to making a difference locally. Special events to help businesses connect and to find out more about the good work being done in our communities, are held as a part of SY100.

The event was a fantastic success with 100% of attendees feeding back that they enjoyed the event and would like to attend future SY100 events. 93% of attendees also said that felt they had learned more about the work of South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation and SY100.

Comments included:

“Great insight into some ‘real’ projects and examples of someone making a difference!”

“We are all aware of the Samaritans but it was good to hear from the one in my city.”

“Great to hear from the beneficiaries.”

SY100 is made up of a range of different businesses from across South Yorkshire. Hickton Group in Barnsley are just the lastest to join the ranks of responsible businesses. Find out more >
